2007 promises to be a big year for the Jones family.

In July Brendan and Adele are expecting their first child. "We are so excited and delighted," said the couple from Canberra today.

Having lost his PGA Tour status in 2006, Brendan will be even further committed to Japan in 2006 as it offers the opportunity to return home to Canberra on a regular basis. "I won't be chasing all round the world this year and won't attempt to pre qualify for the British Open either as the baby is due around the time of the event itself," said Brendan.

"I hope to play the two Nationwide Tour events here in Australia and New Zealand as I believe as an ex PGA Tour player I may have access to the events. I might also play a Von Nida Tour event or two in order that when the Japan Tour starts up in March I will be ready to go."

Brendan has played just the once in recent weeks and shot a six under par round at his old club Moruya on the South Coast of New South Wales. "I used the short putter and had a fun day with family and friends."
