Brendan, who has not finished worse than 14th in any of his eight starts in Japan in 2007, threatened to challenge the leaders when he raced to the turn today in four under par 31 and at that point was within four of the leader Shingo Katayama. A one over par back nine, however, saw him finish with 67 but still his fourth top ten of the season including his win at the Tsuruya Open. Brendan earns 6.6 million yen for his week and he now heads to Hiroshima for this week's Woodone Open before returning to Canberra for the birth of he and wife Adele's first child in around a month's time. Brendan moved up one spot to second on the Japan Golf Tour money list behind the Korean 20 year old sensation, Dong Hwan Lee who finished third this week. |
