Brendan is back in Japan and after arriving on Tuesday morning into Tokyo he will today head up to Sapporo for this week's ANA Open at the Sapporo Golf Club's Wattsu course. This week's event will be one of only two he will play on this trip. Brendan had last week at home after withdrawing from the weather disrupted Fujisankei Classic but he was not able to get a lot of golf in during his time back in Canberra."Our new son Curtis is having trouble settling into a sleeping pattern and last week proved a tough and tiring week for both Adele and myself," said Brendan from Tokyo airport. "I am going to play this week and next week at the Asia Pacific Open before heading back home. I will get a chance to play later today and the Pro Am tomorrow. I hit a few balls yesterday before leaving and it did not feel good although I was happy with the way I was playing on my last visit up here." Next week Brendan will defend his Asia Pacific Open title although it will be at a different venue (Shiga) this year. Brendan has not played this week's event often in recent years although last year he recorded his best ever finish in the tournament when he finished 8th. |
