Brendan is back in Japan this week for the Nagashima Shigeo Sega Sammy Cup at the North Country Club in Hokkaido.

Brendan has played this event on only one previous occasion, that coming in 2007 when he finished midfield after a slow start to the event. Having had three weeks away from tournament golf Brendan will play both this week's event and next week's Sun Chlorella event also in Hokkaido and which Brendan has won previoulsy.

Brendan will then head home before leaving for the US for the USPGA Championship in Minnesota after celebrating son Kieran's second birthday.

"The course is in good shape this week but they are expecting plenty of rain tomorrow," said Brendan today. "I was pretty happy with my practice round today."
