Brendan has finished 22nd at the Japan Open Golf Championship after a strong final round of 71 on the demanding Takanodai Country Club layout was good enough to advance him nine places from his overnight 31st. Two late birdies made things seem a little better after a tough week and Brendan will now head home to Canberra for one week before returning for the Mynavi ABC Championship in Hyogo Prefecture. Following that event Brendan will possibly play the HSBC in China dependant on final eligibility and field numbers, followed by the Visa Taiheiyo, the Dunlop Phoenix and the World Cup where he will represent Australia in China along with Richard Green. He will then head back to Japan where he will play the season ending Golf Nippon Series before playing the JB Were Australian Masters for the first time in several years. Brendan leaves Japan in 10th position on the Japan Tour money list. |
