Brendan has finished in a share of 8th position at the Canon Open in Yokohama, his final nine of 32 completing a round of 68 in the weather shortened event. The tournament was reduced to 54 holes after Typhoon Melor had wiped out play on day one. 

It was Brendan's 6th top ten in twelve starts this season and although he has yet to win in 2009, his level of consistency has been first class. "It was nice to get a few rounds under my belt after the break," said Brendan from Tokyo tonight. "I feel that my game is not too far from where it needs to be and with a series of big events over the next couple of months and there were several good and positive signs this week."

Brendan retained his 6th position on the money list with the cheque for ￥2,538,750 he earned. His season's earnings in Japan are now ￥52,351,525 or equiv $A640,000.

Brendan's next event will be this week's Japan Open near Tokyo.
