![]() Brendan played early on Monday in his first practice round at Olympic for this week's US Open. Brendan played with fellow Australian Anthony Summers and Japanese stars Hiroyuki Fujita and Toru Taniguchi. The conditions for the first official day of practice were stunning and Brendan seemed relaxed after arriiving into San Francisco yesterday afternoon. Through the first 11 holes Brendan had not dropped a shot in his first look at the golf course and was happy considering his lack of play last week. "I hit seven bunker shots," said Brendan referring to his time back in Canberra. "I actually feel like I am hitting it very well and I like what I see of the golf course. They are not expecting any rain and that's where they can firm it up a bit. At present the fairways are soft enough you can keep the ball on them but if they do firm it up then you will be coming from the rough all the time. But coming from the fairways the golf course seems fairly generous. "It is obviously different playing on a Monday to a Thursday but my swing feels pretty good and there is no reason why I can't do well." photo taken during this morning's practice round |
