Brendan again produces Sunday rally
Written by Bruce Young
Sunday, 10 February 2008

Brendan has again staged a last round recovery, his round of 69 on Sunday at the Indian Masters moving him 28th to 12th. To some extent it was a tournament that could have been very special. Brendan recorded a double bogey at his last hole on Saturday then today put together seven birdies in his round of three under on a day when only five players broke par.

Brendan will earn 27,000 for his efforts in New Delhi and should now be all but assured of a place in the Accenture field in Arizona in ten days time. Currently 65th on the world ranking prior to this week it is unlikely that he will slip any further back and with one or two of the top 64 unavailabe he should be eligible to start in the lucrative event.

Speaking from New Delhi tonight before leaving for home Brendan said. "I felt terrible today, had ten three putts during the week and the course didn't really suit me so I am happy to have finished where I did even though I did not play all that well. I think now I have a cold also in addition to feeling ill so I am looking forward to getting home."
