Brendan won the Visa event two years ago and last year finished 7th behind Shingo Katayama. The tournament is played at the Gotemba Golf Club in Shizuoka Prefecture to the south of Tokyo.
"I am a little tired as young Kieran has been a little sick over the last couple of weeks and I have not had a lot of sleep," said Brendan on Monday. "I will play all four events to finish and hopefully I can finish the year off with a rush."
Brendan is currently in 8th position on the Japan Golf Tour money list.

Brendan has arrived in Japan for a stretch of four tournaments over the next four weeks including this week's Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheiyo Masters, the Dunlop Phonex, the Casio World Open and the season ending Japan Series event.
