Brendan has struggled through the opening two rounds of the World Golf Championships-CA Championship, his total of 7 over par leaving him well down the field of 79 who teed it up this week.
With no cut applying in WGC events, Brendan does have the opportunity to improve over the weekend but a sloppy finish to his round on day two leaves a bad taste in his mouth as he looks to advance his cause over the closing 36 holes. Brendan dropped four shots over the closing stages of today's second round including a double bogey at the treacherous last hole after finding the greenside bunker with his approach and then three putting from ten feet.
Brendan had a horror day all round today, hitting very few fairways and struggling with the putter when he did create opportunites for himself.
The event offers a minimum of around US$35,000 but Brendan will be keen to leave Florida with not only an increase in that amount but an indication that he is on the right track for the Japan Golf Tour season which starts in three weeks time. |
