Brendan today reversed the form shown late in his round on Saturday at the Japan Golf Tour Championship by recording a final round of 70 at the event in Ibaraki and although he has had a bad week by his standards he takes a better frame of mind into next week's PGA Championship than was the case 24 hours ago.

In Saturday's third round Brendan had a horror back nine of 41 but today he bounced back, two late birdies ptting the finish on a round of one under 70 and he will finish in 55th position. It was Brendan's worst finish of the season but at least he takes more positive thoughts into next week's event after his better effort today.

Brendan will now fly north to Hokkaido for this week's Japan PGA Championship, one of the majors on the Japan Golf Tour and a tournament he has yet to win.

The event will be played at the Eniwa Country Club about an hour east of Sapporo.
