Brendan has bowed out of the Accenture Match Play Championship going down to the 4th seed Phil Mickelson in round one. Brendan lost 6 & 5, falling behind at the first hole and never looking as if he would get back into the match.

It was disappointing for Brendan but he not only walks away with his pride wounded but but blisters on his feet. "I played poorly," said Brendan soon after his round. "I made too many silly mistakes and to make matters worse I have had blisters on my right foot developing since Monday."

The blisters became so bad that Brendan was forced to get medical attention on the golf course and hobbled the last few holes. 

Brendan will now head back to Canberra before preparing for the first JapanTour event beginning on April 14th.
