| Brendan completes solid stretch of events |
|
Brendan's final round of 68 has secured him an 8th place finish in the event. After turning in 33 today and then adding another birdie at the 10th hole, Brendan had moved to 6 under and was within striking distance of the leaders. The potential was there for him to challenge for the title at that stage but he bogeyed the 12th and 13th holes and although he birdied the par five 12th, his chance was gone.
Still it completes a stretch of three good weeks for Brendan, two of which saw to ten finishes. He earned ¥3,522,000 today and currently sits in 9th place on the 2008 JPGA Tour money list after three events.
"I felt this week I played just great from tee to green and am generally very staisfied with the way I have played," said Brendan from Narita airport on Sunday evening. "I would be nice to have won by now as over the past few years I have won early in the season but I feel my game is in good enough shape to win and am looking forward, after a week recharging the batteries, to playing the Japan PGA Championship which is at a new venue this year."
