Two late birdies were important in keeping him within striking distance of contention although the leader, Azuma Yano, has moved to 9 under.
Brendan moved through the front nine in even par and things were just ticking over until he reached the par three 17th hole of the round. He holed from just of the green there and then birdied the par four last to turn an ordinary day into something more special.             |
A second round of two under par 70 has moved Brendan to two under par and from 33rd to 20th at the ABC Championship near Osaka and the improved form he has shown since returning from the US has continued this week
