"I was a little disappointed to have gotten to the lead and then faltered but overall I am really happy with the way I am playing," said Brendan not long after the event. "I actually played well all day but things didn't go my way on the back nine. I have bogeyed the par five 12th in each of the three rounds this week and then on the 13th I probably hit the wrong club and caught the trap. I had a downhill lie and no green to work with there. I missed a makeable putt on the 15th and then on the 16th I missed a five foot par saving putt. Overall however I am very happy with the way things are going."
The tournament was reduced to 54 holes after a typhoon had hit the area on Thursday evening. Brendan is now in 5th place on the Japan Golf Tour money list with 50 million yen and has been outside the top 15 on only one occasion in 15 starts in 2007. Brendan spends tonight in Tokyo and will then head up to Sapporo tomorrow for next week's ANA Open |
