Brendan has decided to withdraw from the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup after a debilitating illness has laid him low over the past few days. "I am feeling a little better today," said Brendan from his hotel room in Okayama on Wednesday afternoon, "but honestly last Sunday I was at a stage where I could easily have withdrawn from that event. I was going well in the tournament and decided to see it out and finished 10th so it was worth it but I have been crook since."
"I went to the doctor here again this morning and got more tablets and have been on antibiotics and even though I am feeling better there is no way I feel I could play this week. "I will head to next week's venue which is not to far from Narita and hope that things continue to improve. It is a flu type of virus it would seem but it is as bad as I have ever felt."
It is particularly disappointing for Brendan as he is playing some of his best golf at present. It is hoped that he has recovered sufficiently to play in next week's Mitsubishi Diamond Cup. |
