During a week where he was bothered by a nagging cold, Brendan has done well to finish in a share of 9th position at the ANA Open in Hokkaido in Japan. Brendan recorded a final round of 69 to move from his overnight position of 18th to sneak inside the top ten and all things considered it was a good enough week ahead of the Asia Pacific Panasonic Open which he defends next week. Averaging more than 31 putts for each of his rounds was never going to get the job done for Brendan this week in terms of contending but it was a good solid tournament all the same. Brendan moves back to 8th position on the money list. The tournament was won by Kurt Barnes who, like Brendan, won the Australian Amateur Championship before turning professional. Next week's event is played near Kyoto in Shiga Prefecture |
