Brendan's last round of 67 saw him improve only two places from his overnight share of 9th but this was his third top ten of the season and he has yet to finish outside the top 14 in any of his 6 events, one of those being his win at the Tsuruya Open.
Brendan is now
winging his way back to Australis where he will take advantage of a two
week break the Japan Golf Tour has prior to the Gateway to the Open
Mizuno Open starting on June 21st. That event is also used as Japan
Golf Tour qualifying for the Open Championship at Carnoustie but it is
unlikley that Brendan would accept, even if he qualified, as he and
wife Adele are expecting their first child not long after that. Brendan won the Mizuno Open in 2004.
Brendan made a slow start today when he bogeyed his first hole but then the birdies came. Brendan had struggled with the par fives for most of this week but today he birdied all three.
He earns 3.05
million yen or around $A30,000 and remains in number three position on
the Japan Golf Tour money list. His putting was a little better than it
had been earlier in the week especially in his second round. |

Brendan has continued his great early season form in Japan with yet another top ten, this time at the JCB Classic where he finished in a share of 7th.
