Brendan is heading back to Canberra earlier than scheduled after the torrential rain Typhoon Talas dumped on Central and Southern Japan had the event in which he was playing, the Fujisankei Classic, in all sorts of bother in terms of its scheduling.
Play finally began on Friday but even then only 14 holes were completed by the first group out and although round one was completed on Saturday and a few holes of round two had begun, it appears the event is destined to be at the very best a 54 hole event and very possibly even less.
"Personally I was of the opinion that we should not have even begun play," said Brendan from Narita airport on Saturday night.
"I am going to take next week off then head back here for the ANA Open in Sapporo which begins on the 15th of September."
"It has been a very difficult week - stop start. Funnily enough in the play I was able to get in I felt I played really well though.
"I'm looking forward to spending a week at home. My form is good and if I can get my short game sharp then I feel confident of another win in the events coming up."
