In what has been a tough and demanding golf course in the opening two rounds of the Japan Golf Tour Championship at the Shishido Hills Country Club in Ibaraki Prefecture, Brendan sits at 1 over par at the halfway mark but in a share of 6th position.

"I played well today," said Brendan referring to his second round of 69. "I also played well yesterday but the golf course is brutal. The greens are really hard and the course is very dry overall. Miyamoto (the four shot leader) is playing a different course to the rest of us."

Brendan's round of 69 on day two which included five birdies moved him from 34th to 6th and sets him up for a chance at the title over the weekend.
