Brendan is in San Antonio this week for the Valero Texas Open, his penultimate event in the US before next week's Southern Farm Bureau Classic. He will then head to Japan for three events before returning there later in the season for the big end of year events on the Japan Golf Tour.

Brendan and his wife Adele drove down from their Dallas home on Tuesday and all systems are go at this stage for Brendan in this week's event. His back concerns are still an issue but the pain is not the sharp pain it was a few weeks ago.

Brendan has an 9.09 tee time on day one in an event he started well in last year but did not finish quite so well. His opening round of 65 had him near the lead but although he made the cut he finished well back.
