Brendan is in Miyazaki in southern Japan for this week's Dunlop Phoenix tournament looking to improve on a disappointing week last week and to turn around what has been a less that Brendan like record at the Phoenix Country Club.

Brendan has played the now time honoured event on several occasions but has yet to record a top ten in the event although a putting lesson from fellow professional Wayne Perske today may have helped his cause. "I started to hit the ball pretty good today and Wayne gave me some tips with my putting," said Brendan this evening. "I hope it will change my luck."

The tournament regularly attracts not only the best the Japan Golf Tour has to offer but several of the world's leading players have won this event. Tiger Woods has been a two time winner while Padraig Harrington and Ian Poulter have also won the event in recent times. 

Brendan has an 9.15 tee time on day one when he will play with iconic Japanese veteran Tommy Nakajima and the third placed finisher in last week's Australian Masters Jason Dufner.
