"I played terribly, said Brendan on Monday. "I thought I was on the right track but it wasn't to be. I have always struggled with that golf course and have I've never played well there for some reason."
"I have to work on the basics this week. My setup and my grip. Back to basics for me and hopefully get things back on track."
This week's Casio World Open is being played at the Kochi Kuroshio Golf Club in Kochi which is located on Japan's fourth island of Shikoku.
The tournament has been played at this venue for the past four years although Brendan has played it just the once. That came in 2007 when he was unfortunately disqualified for replacing his ball on the green after it had been blown off position after he had put his coin down. Brendan, thinking that he was entitled to replace the ball as he had put down the coin did so and was subsequently disqualified. He was well positioned at the time. |

After the disappointment of missing the cut at last week's Dunlop Phoenix tournament (his first missed cut since the 2007 Australian Open) Brendan is preparing for this week's Casio World Open with a philosophical attitude as to last week's effort.
