There has been no confirmation from the Woods' camp as to when the world number one will return but there is growing specualtion that it might well be at next week's event.
If Woods does not play it would allow Brendan's World Cup teammate Richard Green (pictured) to take his place in the field although it would then mean that Sergio Garcia would play Green and Brendan would likely face Padraig Harrington. The final match ups will not be set until Sunday 22nd.
"It's great to have made the field," said Brendan from Canberra this morning. "I enjoyed the chance to play last year and even though I was beaten in the first round it was a tremendous event and am now looking forward to getting back."
"I don't mind who I have to play as just making the field again is a relief as the last few weeks it has been touch and go if I would or would not finish inside the top 64."

Brendan has just crept inside the field for the Accenture Match Play Championship to be played in Arizona next week. That is the good news but it might be that his opponent in his first round match might well be Tiger Woods. The format of this event is that the number one world ranked player will take on the 64th ranked and at this stage that would mean a match up against Woods in round one.
