Brendan has taken up where he left off two weeks ago in Japan by leading after round one of the Gateway to the Open Mizuno Open.
Brendan finished with a first round of 65 at the Yomiuri Country Club near Osaka and leads by one over Jet Ozaki a brother of Jumbo.
Brendan has won this event once previously and has been runner up on one other occasion but at a different venue.
