Brendan has taken some confidence out of this week's Japan Open when he produced a final round of 71 on the demanding Sagamihara Golf Club layout near Yokohama and finished 39th.

While it was an ordinary week by his standards this season, that he was able to produce such a good final round after a triple bogey at his third hole gives promise for the big events coming up over the next few weeks.

Three birdies in his last four holes made a big difference to his finishing position.

Brendan will now move north to Chiba Prefecture for this week's Bridgestone Open, traveling with his wife Adele and, for the first time, his son Kieran and Brendan's parents who are watching him play in Japan for the first time.
