Brendan's second round of four under par 66 at the Crowns Tournament at the Wago Course at the Nagoya Golf Club today has moved him into a share of second position and just two behind the leader, Hiroshi Iwata, as one of the Japan Golf Tour's flagship events heads into the weekend.
Brendan made his move quickly on day two, racing to the turn in four under and at that point he had a share of the lead. He was eventually passed by Iwata but he is well placed for the closing 36 holes of the tournament. “I felt I played really well today,” said Brendan soon after his round. “The birdies dried up a little on the back nine but some of that was because I was playing smart and trying to eliminate danger. I had a lot of birdie opportunities on the back nine but the putts were ones that had a lot of break. I felt overall that I did it fairly comfortably and am very happy with the way it is going.” |
