At number 65 in the world Brendan is surprisingy the second highest ranked player in this field dominated in terms of favouritism by Ernie Els. "I played on Tuesday but today the pro-am was delayed due to fog and smog in the area and I did not get a chance to play today. The course is tight and the greens very grainy but although my game isn't in great shape I will be doing my best. The weather has been a little cool so far."
At the completion of this week's event Brendan will know if he has made it into the Accenture World Match Play in Arizona in two weeks time. The top 64 off the world ranking get to play the event and Brendan is currently number 25 although with the likelihood of some withdrawals then there is a strong chance he will make it into that field.
Brendan has been paired with Unho Park and Chris Rogers on the opening two days with an 8.20 am tee time on day one. |
