In what turned out to be a roller coaster sort of round, Brendan had five birdies and five bogies but he is only six shots from the leader Y.E. Yang.
Brendan has a 9.07 tee time in round two.

Brendan has made a solid if unspectacular start to the ABC Championship near Osaka today finishing with an opening round of even par 72 to be in 33rd position at the end of day one.
