Brendan has improved significantly this week but he has been unable to venture much out of his hotel room as he recovers from a virus complaint he contracted a week ago.

Brendan was forced to withdraw from this week's Munsingwear Open KSB Cup but given the progress he has shown he will be back in action at this week's Mitsubishi Diamond Cup.

"I haven't hit any balls at all this past week," said Brendan from his hotel room in Mito near the venue for this coming week's event. "I am certainly feeling a lot better than I was earlier in the week however and I feel confident I can get back playing this coming week."

Brendan has played the Mistubishi Diamond Cup on four previous occasions his best being when 12th in 2001.
