| Brendan plays Firestone for first time |
|
After a good last round at the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, Brendan headed for Dallas in Texas where he has spent time with friends and working on his game. He arrived in Akron in Ohio on Sunday.
This will be the first time to this event and to this venue and Brendan is impressed by what he sees. "The course is good," said Brendan. "The greens are extremely fast already and undulating but I like it."
The South Course at Firestone is an original Bert Way designed layout but redesigned by Robert Trent Jones in 1960. It became famous for its role as host course for many of the Shell Wonderful World of Golf Series in the 1960's and 1970's and has played host to the World Series of Golf over many years before this event was initiated in 1999. photo: Brendan wins Visa in 2007
