After a break of two weeks back home in Canberra, Brendan returns to the Japan Golf Tour for this week's Mizuno Open, outside of Osaka, an event he has won previously and often played well.

With fatherhood pending, Brendan is playing this week, the Japan Tour Championship next week and then possibly the Woodone event in Hiroshima before taking a lengthy break from the tour while he and his wife Adele await the arrival of their first child in early August.

Brendan has made a great start to his 2007 season in Japan, recording a win, two top tens and three top 20's in six starts. He also finished third at the Jacob's Creek Open in Adelaide and his policy of restricting his schedule and taking quality time away from the tour seems to be paying off.

This week's event also serves as a qualifier for the British Open and gained Brendan a start via his win in 2004. Irrespective of his finish this week he will not be playing the Open however due to the pending arrival in the Jones household.

Brendan has an early tee time on day one.
