As he sat in his hotel room before heading out to the Taiheiyo Golf Club at the base of Mt Fuji, Brendan expressed his satisfaction with his game and his swing. "Although I have played only sparingly in recent months my swing feels good. I am not in the pro am today which was a bit of a surprise so I had to squeeze in as many holes as I could yesterday then will head out this afternoon and play a few more." "I have a new 52 degree wedge I need to spend a bit of time with so I will do some practice with that also." Brendan has played this course well on occasions including when he led after 36 holes in his first time to the event in 2002. He finished 13th that year. Brendan will play the Duniop Phoenix next week, the Casio World Open then the Japan Series before heading back to Australia. |
