Brendan primed for World Cup
Written by Bruce Young
Tuesday, 22 November 2011

Brendan is on the resort island of Hainan off the southern coast of China where this week he represents Australia at the World Cup of Golf and at which he joins forces with fellow Australian Richard Green.

Brendan and Richard last played this event in 2008 at the Mission Hills course in Shenzhen when they finished equal third behind Sweden.

The tournament is played over 72 holes with Fourball, Foursomes, Fourball and Foursomes being played in rotation.

The event is being played at the Mission Hills complex, not to be confused with the mainland venue, on a golf course designed by Brian Curley of Schmidt & Curley Golf Design.

"Greeny and I played today and we both played well," said Brendan from his hotel on Tuesday evening. "It is a long course with reasonable greens and I am really pumped for the week."

Brendan arrives at this event off the back of a very good last round in Japan where he finished 5th at the Dunlop Phoenix after a round of 66.
