Brendan ready for Casio World Open
Written by Bruce Young

After taking last week off to allow time for a niggling back injury to recover, Brendan is back and ready to go at this week's Casio World Open at the Kochi Kurishio Golf Club on the island of Shikoku in Japan.

Currently in 6th position on the money list, Brendan could make a significant move if he were to win this week as first prize in the event is a massive 40 million yen, one of the biggest first place cheques on the Japan Golf Tour.

Brendan has played this event at this venue on only two occasions, finishing 15th last year and having been disqualified in 2007 for replacing a ball on the green after marking it and wind then causing it to move. He did not play in 2008 as he was competing in the World Cup for Australia.

Brendan was in good form prior to last week's withdrawal having finished runner-up to Ryo Ishkawa at the Visa Taiheiyo a week prior.
