The UBS Japan Golf Tour Championship is the next event on Brendan's schedule, the tournament being played this week at the Akira Hatsua designed West Course at the Shishido Hills layout in Kasama around 90 minutes to the north and east of Tokyo.

Brendan finished runner up in this event last year to Hidemasa Hoshino, albeit five shots behind the runaway winner. Brendan also finished 4th in this event in 2007. "It is a golf course I enjoy," said Brendan today on the eve of the tournament. "I have played well here the last couple of years. The course is a lot softer this year, a lot of rain having fallen in the region of late. The rough is certainly a bit shorter than I recall from the  past two years also."

After his fine runner up finish at the Mitsubishi Diamond event last week in the same region, Brendan is looking forward to another good week at Shishido Hills.

Brendan has a 10.15 tee time on day one when he will play with Azuma Yano and Keiichiro Fukabori.
