Brendan recovered from his third round battering at the New Zealand PGA Championship in Christchurch with a final round of 69 to finish 22nd in the tournament.
Saturday's third round was a tough day for all but Brendan's homeward nine of 42 saw him lose any chance of a top finish in the event. Today, playing from the 10th tee to start his round, Brendan was out in even par 36 but four birdies on his way in saw him finish at three under and even par for the tournament.
"I felt really good about the way I played for most of the week," said Brendan on his return to Canberra. "Even though I dropped a few shots on Saturday afternoon I felt that I was still playing well and got a couple of unfavourable breaks so overall I am very happy with the week and the way I am playing."
Brendan willl now return to Canberra where he will play in a few pro-ams and will next play the Sydney Charity Classic towards the end of March before heading to the Token Homate Cup which starts the Japan Golf Tour on April 12th. |
