"I have left the clubs in Japan as I am determined to stay fresh this season as I feel that is the best way for me to perform well. On my return to Japan for the PGA next week I will play four consecutive events so a full week away from the clubs is important."
"I felt in this last stretch of events I have played as well as ever in terms of ball striking, the one area on which I do need to sharpen is around the greens. I am keen to get a lob wedge that suits me and the people at Callaway are working on one to fit me perfectly. I was not sharp around the greens and that cost me on several occasions especially last week in Nagoya"
On his return next week Brendan will play the Japan PGA Championship in Okinawa, which is a group of islands off the southern coast of the mainland of Japan, then the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup in Okayama west of Osaka, the the Mitsubishi Diamond Cup in Ibaraki near Tokyo, then the JCB Classic near Sendai after which the Japan Golf Tour (and Brendan) take a three week break.
Brendan is currently third on the Japan Golf Tour money list after three events of the 2007 season one of which, the Tsuruya Open, he won. |
