Brendan this week returns to the Japan Golf Tour for the first time in nearly four weeks when he plays the Vana H Cup KBC Augusta event in Fukuoka in the north of the southern Japanese island of Kyushu.

In his last event in Japan Brendan was defeated in a playoff by brillliant young Japan star Ryo Ishikawa and would next play the US PGA Championship where through 10 holes of his final round he was in the running for a top five finish and perhaps even better. A horror back nine holes that day saw him eventually finish 24th but he still finished as the joint leading Australian and recorded his best finish in a major championship.

Brendan spent a few days in Dallas before returning to Japan for this week's event, a tournament he has played only once when missing the cut in 2001.

Brendan is currently in 4th position on the Japan Golf Tour money list. Tomorrow he has an early tee time f(8.05) for the opening round.
