Brendan this week to the scene of one of his most memorable moments in tournament golf when he plays the Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheyo Masters at the Taiheiyo Club's Gotemba Course in the shadows of Mt Fuji.Three years ago during what was his best season on the Japan Golf Tour, Brendan holed a massive putt across the green at the 72nd hole to edge out Toru Taniguchi and win this event event for the first time. Brendan arrived in his hotel late on Monday afternoon after his flight from Shanghai where he finished 25th at the HSBC event there. He recovered from a poor opening round of 76 and heads into this week feeling like his game is close to where it needs to be to play well. "There are a few things to work on but overall I am happy with the way it is,"said Brendan on Tuesday morning. "I am looking forward to this week as the win here in 2007 was one of my best tournament wins. To lose the lead on 16 like I did then finish birdie, eagle was unbelievably satisfying. I don't often lose it on a golf course but as this photo shows I was pretty excited." Brendan will play the next four events to finish his season. |
