What a difference a week makes in the world of golf. Last week Brendan was disqualified after the opening round of the Casio World Open and this week he has won the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup the season ending event on the Japan Golf Tour with a final round of 61 to win his third event of the 2007 season in Japan.

Brendan finished some time before the final pair and headed to the practice fairway in the hope he would get into a playoff but in the end one wasn't needed as his two closest pursuers double bogeyed the last. Brendan was still in a state of shock when I caught up with him briefly in Japan before he heads back to Japan on Thursday. He will play next week's MFS Australian Open in Sydney before kicking his legs up at home to renjoy his first Christmas with wife Adele and their new baby son Kieran.  

Brendan has finished the Japan Golf Tour season in third place on their money list with earnings of 115 million yen or AA1.15million.
