Brendan's finishes strongly at Japan PGA
Written by Bruce Young

Brendan has recovered from a slow opening round at the Japan PGA Championship to finish in a share of third place behind the winner Shingo Katayama and runner up Wen Chong Liang.

Brendan made a big move over the weekend but today especially began to make some putts and had actually birdied seven of the first fourteen holes before the momentum slowed a little. Still his round of 66 was good enough to move him from 8th overnight to a share of third and a cheque for ¥6,240,000 (A$62,000). It will move Brendan back to 6th on the Japan Golf Tour money list.

"It was a good comeback after being four over early on Thursday but perhaps the slow start was because I had taken a complete break for a week last week. I had not hit a shot between my last putt at the Crowns and the first tee shot in Tuesday's practice round.  I'm very happy with the result and especially making a few putts today."

Brendan is having dinner with his caddie Tom Watson and friends tonight in Tokyo and will tomorrow head south and west to the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup just outside of Tokyo.
