Brendan's whirlwind finish at Tsuruya Open

japan_golf_tourBrendan may not have won his fourth consecutive Tsurya Open but his stunning late surge kept those ahead of him honest as he reeled off an eagle and three birdies in his last four holes to close within four shots of winner S.K. Ho after trailing by ten with four holes to play.

"I had moved to two under for the day and 7 under for the tournament through eight holes today," said Brendan from Nagoya this evening where he has moved for this week's Crowns tournament.  "I felt I still had a chance but then three putted the 9th, left a gap wedge short of the green at the 10th and made another bogey, then hit a good four iron just over the back at the 11th and dropped another and then added insult to injury at the 12th when I hit a poor second. By then I was back at three under and ten behind Iwata at that point but things changed rapidly over the closing stages."

"I have mixed emotions about the week but overall I am happy especially with the way I finished things off today."

After two events Brendan finds himself in 7th place on the Japan Golf Tour money list.

Brendan will play the Crowns tournament where he has a best of 4th in 2004.
