Brendan is six shots from the halfway lead at the Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheiyo tournament in Shizuoka Japan but a mistake at his last hole of round two was frustrating for the former winner of the event.

"I hit it in the water at the 18th which was very annoying as a birdie there would have put me right back in it," said Brendan before heading to the course for this third round. "It was tough out there as it was a very cold and windy day and to compound things I had three three putts in my first nine holes. After a birdie at the 17th however I still felt there was a chance to salvage something with a birdie at the par five last but hitting it in the water proved costly."

Brendan shares 18th position as the tournament heads into the final 36 holes.
