Brendan was forced to return to the Sydney Golf Club to recommence play in his second round at 6.45am on day three of the Australian Open and when he did he continued his recovery from a shaky start to his second round by adding two further birdies and eventually finished with a round of 71 to be at 3 under.

Brendan's second round started disastrously yesterday when he bogeyed his second hole and then double bogeyed his third before and eagle at his fourth hole, the par five 13th, repaired some of the damage.

Forced to return to the course with still 12 holes to play, Brendan birdied his 10th and 11th holes but was frustrated by a run of near misses over the closing stretch of holes. 

Brendan is in 24th position at the completion of 36 holes and will head out into this afternoon's third round eight shots behind the leader Stephen Dartnall.
