Brendan has staged a strong recovery at the WGC HSBC Championship in Shanghai.
After his horror start to the event on Thursday when opening with a round of 76, Brendan fought his way back with rounds of 72,69 and 68 to finish in a share of 25th. While not at the level Brendan was hoping for when he arrived in Shanghai on Monday, his finish was a lot better than it appeared early in the tournament. "I felt I played well enough overall to be near the leaders but the poor start on Thursday had me on the back foot early," said Brendan from Shanghai this evening where he is staying before leaving for The Visa Taiheiyo Masters tournament in Japan tomorrow. Brendan heads back to Japan in the knowledge that his game is in good shape and is looking forward to playing the event he won three years ago when holing a massive putt across the final green at the Taiheiyo Masters course in Shizuoka. |
