Brendan has safely made the cut at the Open Championship, his second round of 73 earning him a place in the weekend field.

Brendan played in the afternoon group on day and despite earlier predictions the weather might deteriorate for the afternoon field, it stayed generally the same all day. "The conditions were near perfect really," said Brendan not long after his round. "There was still a bit of wind but there was no rain." 

"I played pretty solid but have made absolutely nothing on the greens, I got terribly unlucky on the 14th when my ball buried under the lip of a bunker and I had to play out backwards and took double but was able to birdie the 17th and feel like if I can make a few putts over the weekend I have a chance to do well." 

"We are supposed to get some rain tomorrow and then it is forecast to be fine on Sunday."
