Brendan has made a disappointing start to the Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheiyo tournament in Shizuoka, a second round of 74 leaving him well off the pace in 47th position. 

"It has been a frustrating couple of days with my short game but I can see a few signs of improvement," said Brendan soon after doing a little work on that part of his game after his round today.

65 putts over the opening two rounds tell the story but with a good finish to this week's event he can look ahead to next week at the Dunlop Phoenix with a little more confidence in a short game that has let him down to date.
