Brendan takes a two shot lead into tomorrow's final round of the Visa Taiheiyo and after a perhaps ordinary record at the Taiheiyo Club's Gotemba course, he has a chance to turn that on its head.

Brendan's third round of 69 saw him move past second round leader, Toru Taniguchi, and at the completion of 54 holes he leads by two over Queenslander, Adam Scott and by three over Taniguchi.

"I played played really well, said Brendan from his hotel room after the round. "I was a little defensive on some birdie putts but I think that was because there were some pretty marginal pin positions. I had some pretty good chances over the last few holes and hit the putts where I wanted but they just wouldn't drop. The ball striking was very good however."

Brendan plays in the final group tomorrow with Scott and Taniguchi
