Brendan has withdrawn from this week's ABC Championship near Osaka and will head back to Australia. Last Friday evening Brendan lost his 'Nan' Ralda Hutchings and has decided to head home for her funeral later this week. "I would not have missed her funeral for anything," said Brendan before jumping on a plane from Tokyo. "While disappointed to be missing the ABC, Nan and I were very close. I stayed with her in Sydney for four years in the latter part of my amateur career." "The chances of me getting a place at the HSBC event next week are improving and I believe I am now first alternate. I will head there after my visit to Australia and then be back here for the Visa event the following week and then the remaining events until the end of the season." Footnote: Brendan has now been advised he has a start at nex week's WCG HSBC event in Shanghai and will leave for China on Monday.             |
